At the forefront since 1877
The beginnings of Ahlsell date to 1877, when Bernström & Co started to sell pumps and threshing machines. In 1922, the company merged with R Ahlsell & Co, which reinforced the focus on Heating & Plumbing.

For a long time, Ahlsell’s business focussed on trading in Heating & Plumbing products, and the product range only began to increase in the mid-1980s. Today, Ahlsell’s breadth of range is unique and the business has expanded far outside the boundaries of Sweden. Its business activities now take place throughout Scandinavia, in the Baltic states and Russia.

A part of Swedish industrial history
In its position as industry leader, Ahlsell built the new model of distribution centre at Hallsberg in 1990, and the company was one of the first to develop e-commerce solutions.
