Ahlsell’s goal is for acquisitions to be integrated into existing systems and structures as quickly as possible. In most cases, this involves coordination of logistics and IT systems, purchasing, sales offices and review of administration and management functions.  

Ahlsell places priority on acquisitions in which the synergies are referable to cost reductions, over acquisitions that are mainly related to a reinforcement of market position. The greatest synergies occur from acquisitions in geographical markets in which Ahlsell has already a well-functioning logistics system, as well as a well-developed network of sales offices and retail outlets.
