Ahlsell has agreed with Tarvikeykköset's owners to acquire the company, a strong distributor within the sector of tools and machinery in Tampere. The company has 18 employees and an annual turnover of just over SEK 50 million.
-Tarvikeykköset is a well-run company with good profitability that complements our activities in Finland. The acquisition strengthens Ahlsell's presence in the Tampere region, Finland's most densely populated area after Helsinki, says Göran Näsholm, President and CEO of Ahlsell.
Tarvikeykköset has one outlet and sells mainly to the industry sector. The former owners will continue to work in the company.
The acquisition is planned to come into force on December 3, 2007.
